Guatemala Medical Mission

John-Jefferson-hisMom (3)

For many years a team of Americans and Canadians (medical, dental, pharmacy and support people) represented our Diocese and worked closely with partners from the Episcopal Church in Guatemala.

Clinics are held where individuals receive medical exams, teeth extracted, fillings, protecting children with fluoride treatments for their teeth, and referrals made for further care and evaluation.

Along with the service provided to people in great need, a benefit of this mission is the enrichment and spiritual growth experienced by team members and a feeling of connection with our sisters and brothers in Guatemala.

The Guatemala Medical Mission team is taking a hiatus in 2017.
